Is there anything more annoying than trying to zip up your bag at the hotel and the zipper breaks? And it can be really stressful as well if you have a plane or train to catch, and not really the time to rush to a store and buy new luggage to put your stuff in. (And how would you ever manage to find out what is the most durable luggage when you have so little time?)
Or what about running through the airport actually CARRYING a heavy bag, because one of the wheels just broke and made it impossible to either pull or push?
Here at Travel Gear Depot we don't want you to have such bad experiences. Thus, we have scrutinized the web and picked out what we believe to be among the most rugged luggage you can find. We have chosen 3 carry-ons and 3 suitcases. Often there is a product line, which means you can find suitcases from the same line as a carry-on we have recommended, and vice versa.
We will start with some general questions about durable luggage, and then dive into the specific product reviews. Enjoy!

Chester is a relatively new name in luggage. It seems they have only been around since 2017, but we believe the product they have come up with - the Chester Minima - will be around for a good, long time.
There are a lot of positives regarding the Minima carry on. We’ll take a closer look at them in the review that follows.

This is by no definition of ours a pretty bag, but it's elegant and stylish, and the design definitely stands out and gives an impression of being sturdy and reliable. But is it? Finding that out for you is our mission here at Travel Gear Depot, so let's not beat around the bush.
Tommy Hilfiger luggage is well-known and a part of the popular designer lifestyle brand. The company was founded in 1985, and Tommy Hilfiger himself is still in charge of the design process.
In this article we have reviewed the Tommy Hilfiger Floral Hardside 28" Spinner. Above you see the beautiful and stylish (according to us!) blue and white floral pattern. We love the looks of this luggage, so let's find out if it also delivers when it comes to quality.

Nicole Miller is a well known American designer, who has studied in both the US and in Paris. She is known for her bright prints and patterns. Apart from this hardside there are plenty of purses, totes and other travel bags designed by Nicole.
But, are they also a good buy when it comes to quality? This detailed review of the Nicole Miller New York Rainbow Spinners will tell you!
This article is our detailed review of the Samsonite Luggage Inova Spinner 20", a hardside carry on.
Samsonite is a popular and well-known brand, that does not always live up to its good repute. This Samsonite hard side carry on has a particular and stylish design, but does it deliver also when it comes to quality? Let's find out!
This summer I went on a wonderful trip with my 15-year old daughter. We were away for two weeks. The first week we stayed in the same place, a small property in California where we took care of two horses and three dogs. We enjoyed every minute! But wait a minute, what does this wonderful experience have to do with any kind of best packing cubes?
During the last week we stayed in three different places, and that’s when it became apparent that my suitcase organization was not, shall we say, optimized? I grew so tired of searching for clean underwear (and not getting hold of the dirty instead), socks, T-shirts and toiletries not to mention how crumpled up everything got.
The truth of it all is that I only had myself to blame. I did know about packing organizers of course, but somehow didn’t think it was something that I would actually need. I mean, how hard can it be to keep your suitcase tidy and your belongings organized? Well, as it turned out, very hard! Even the best luggage has its limits when it comes keeping tiny socks and charger cables in place.
Once home and summer gone I decided that it was time for Travel Gear Depot to take a step out of the carry-ons and suitcases. So without further ado, let us present a buying guide and our reviews of the Best Packing Cubes for 2018!
Now why would you want an overnight bag, when you already have nice suitcase in the wardrobe? Well, we think everyone should have one. If you're only going away for a night or two, you don't want to bring a proper suitcase. Too big, too bulky. A weekend bag is perfect, preferably made with good quality leather that will hold up and look good for years to come. We have dug out the best ones for you!

If we had to choose one single bag that would be the only one we could ever own, it would definitely be a duffel bag. A duffel can be used as an overnight bag, a weekend bag, a travel bag or even as both men's and women's gym bag.
If it stays inside the cabin luggage size restrictions of the airline in question it will be a stylish carry-on or even a personal item if it's really small. Considering it would have to last a lifetime, the given choice of material would definitely be leather. Let us show you why!
